1). Building a Spray Booth on the Job Site

2). Wearing the proper protective gear when spraying doors

To avoid exposure when using a paint sprayer, painters should consider wearing the proper personal protection equipment. There are several types of PPE for painting that can be used depending on the type of paint being used and where you’re working.

Painting overalls: These should have long sleeves and legs to protect your arms and legs from paint splashes, as well as a hood to protect your head from paint spatters.

Painter’s respirator: A painter’s respirator is a mask worn over your nose and mouth to keep contaminants out of your breathing zone. The respirator should fit tightly around your face so there’s no chance of dust or debris getting in through gaps in the mask.

Painter’s goggles: The proper pair of goggles will protect your eyes from splatters and other hazards while painting. They may also have tinted lenses that help block UV rays from sunlight and reduce glare when working indoors or outside in bright light.

Gloves: Gloves are worn on both hands to protect them from harsh chemicals, splashes and cuts. Gloves should fit tightly around your fingers, wrists and knuckles so there’s no chance of anything getting inside them. Some gloves are disposable while others are reusable with proper cleaning after each use.

Apron: An apron can help protect clothing from splatters, smudges and spills by keeping it covered up during work hours.
